ist Methan als Klimakiller
bekannt. Es ist ein effizientes
Treibhausgas, das seine Wirkung
durch starke Absorptionslinien im
Infrarotbereich entfaltet. Im
nahen Infrarot bei 890nm liegt
eine Linie des Methans, die mit
Amateurmitteln gut erreichbar ist.
Die großen Gasplaneten enthalten
große Mengen dieses Treibhausgases
und haben daher in diesem
Frequenzbereich ein komplett
anderes Gesicht. Die Absorption
lässt sich nutzen, um den Kontrast
zu Monden und Ringen zu
verbessern. Dadurch eröffnet sich
ein interessantes Feld für
Experimente.</p>

Einführung in die astronomische
Beobachtung. In diesem Kurs werden
praktische Fähigkeiten vermittelt,
mit denen der interessierte Laie
eigenständig astronomische
Beobachtungen durchführen kann.
Der Umgang mit verschiedenen Arten
von Teleskopen, Ferngläsern, aber
auch Literatur, Software und
Internet zu diesem Zwecke wird
vermittelt und praktisch erprobt.</p>
