– ein guter Anlass, sich der nur
scheinbar trivialen Frage zu
widmen, warum es überhaupt nachts
dunkel wird. Die ersten
Überlegungen hierzu reichen zurück
in die Zeit zwischen Kopernikus
und Kepler. Und obwohl das „Rätsel
des dunklen Nachthimmels“ oft mit
dem Namen des Bremer Astronomen
Wilhelm Olbers (1758-1840)
verknüpft wird, und der Dichter
E.A. Poe als Erster die richtige
Antwort wies, brachte erst die
moderne Urknall-Theorie die

viele Sternschnuppen übers
Firmament. Am meisten werden es in
der Nacht von 3. auf 4. Januar.
Bis zu 120 leuchten auf, und
scheinbar kommen sie alle aus
einer Gegend Richtung der
Sternbilder Drache und Bärenhüter.
Früher war dort auf Sternkarten
auch ein Mauerquadrant
eingezeichnet, daher der
antiquierte Name.</p>

In der zweiten Nachthälfte ist
jeweils mit etwas mehr
