Ein Blick zwischen die Planeten
zeigt uns die exotische und
faszinierende Welt der Asteroiden
und Kometen. </p>
<p style="margin: 1em 0px;
margin-bottom: 0px;">Darunter
befinden sich Zwergplaneten,
seltsam geformte Gesteins- und
Eisbrocken, fliegende
Geröllhalden, Mehrfach-Systeme,
eisige Körper mit
Kometenaktivität, Objekte mit
aktivem Kryovulkanismus und
Besucher aus dem interstellaren
Raum. Einige dieser kleinen Welten
kommen immer wieder in Erdnähe und
waren wahrscheinlich
verantwortlich für das Ende der
Dinosaurier. Asteroiden beflügeln
die Endzeit-Fantasien von
Regisseuren und fordern Ingenieure
zu Höchstleistungen bei der
Entwicklung von
Abwehrtechnologien. Kometen und
Asteroiden stehen aber auch in
Verbindung mit dem Ursprung des
Lebens auf der Erde und werden in
naher Zukunft vielleicht wichtig
für die Gewinnung von seltenen
Materialien. Die wissenschaftliche
Erforschung der - im
astronomischen Sinne - kleinen
Objekte hängt stark mit den
lebensbringenden und
lebensbedrohlichen Aspekten
zusammen, führt uns aber
gleichzeitig zurück zu den
Anfangsstadien des Sonnensystems
vor
4,6 Milliarden Jahren. Müller wird
in seinem Vortrag einen Einblick
in die faszinierende Welt der
kleinen Körper geben. Gleichzeitig
wird er die Ergebnisse der
interplanetaren Missionen
Hayabusa2 (zum Asteroiden Ryugu)
und OSIRIS-REx (zum Asteroiden
Bennu) vorstellen.</p>

Ausbrüche von Gammastrahlen lassen
sich fast täglich beobachten. Die
meisten kurzlebigen Gammablitze
entstehen, wenn ein massereicher
Stern in sich zusammenfällt und
ein neues Schwarzes Loch bildet.
Vor etwa einem Jahr konnten die
MAGIC-Teleskope die
energiereichste je gemessene
Strahlung von einem Gammablitz
nachweisen. Dr. Moritz Hütten vom
MPI für Physik berichtet, wie es
gelang, das flüchtige
Himmelsphänomen einzufangen und
erklärt, welche Schlüsse die
Wissenschaftler*innen aus dieser
Entdeckung ziehen.</p>

unser Leben. Fast jeder von uns
richtet sich tagein, tagaus nach der
Uhr - nach Terminen und
Zeitvorgaben. Ganz
selbstverständlich nehmen wir wahr
wie Tage, Wochen, Monate und Jahre
vergehen – und werden uns dabei der
Tatsache bewusst, dass die eigene
Lebenszeit begrenzt ist. Zeit ist
also etwas ganz alltägliches, etwas
das uns alle unmittelbar betrifft
und das wir doch nur schwer oder gar
nicht verstehen und erklären können.
In der Ausstellung „Alle Zeit der
Welt“ widmet sich das Museum Mensch
und Natur diesem facettenreichen
Thema und hat den bekannten
Astrophysiker und
Wissenschaftsjournalisten Harald
Lesch gewinnen können, seine
Besucherinnen und Besucher auf Ihrer
Reise durch Zeit und Raum zu
begleiten. Zahlreiche Exponate,
spektakuläre Bilder und
Inszenierungen sowie nicht zuletzt
Mitmachobjekte und spezielle
Kinderstationen machen die
Ausstellung zu einem Erlebnis für
Groß und Klein.</p>
