Helligkeitsmäßig und auch von der Richtung her nähert er sich immer weiter Aldebaran an und ist damit zwar längst nicht mehr der Star des Abends, hält aber hoch im Südwesten noch eine achtbare Stellung unter den Top 10 des Winterhimmels. So einladend er wirkt, stellt er mit unter 8 Bogensekunden scheinbarem Durchmesser doch leider kein wirklich lohnendes Beobachtungsziel mehr dar für irdische Teleskope. Umso passender, dass alle drei im letzten Juli gestarteten Mars-Sonden in den nächsten zwei Wochen den roten Planeten pünktlich erreichen werden: <strong>am 8. und 9. Februar</strong> die <a style="color: #3f3f3f; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://www.emiratesmarsmission.ae/">Hope-</a> bzw. die <a style="color: #3f3f3f; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tianwen-1">Tianwen-1-</a>Mission (Vereinigte Arabische Emirate resp. China) sowie <strong>am 17./18.
