"30 Tage des Terrors" wurde diese Phase zwischen Start am 1. Weihnachtstag und Ankunft am 24. Januar etwas reißerisch benannt. <td style="font-weight: normal; color: #000000; font-size: 13px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: left; line-height: normal;" align="left" valign="top" width="100%" class="long-text links-color"><p style="margin: 1em 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: justify;">Wenn die Wolken es nicht vereiteln, gibt es <strong>Anfang Februar (02.02., ab etwa 17:30 Uhr)</strong> eine sportlich-spannende Suchaufgabe am Abendhimmel zu lösen: Die ultraschmale Mondsichel ist so gerade eben zu erkennen; ein kleines Fernglas hilft bei der Suche. Knapp 36 Stunden nach Neumond ist der Mond nur zu knapp 3% beleuchtet. Glücklicherweise weist Jupiter im Südwesten den Weg (im Bild der helle Punkt in der Mitte; die Mondsichel darunter hier 2,5x vergrößert und trotzdem immer noch kaum zu erkennen; erstellt mit <a style="color: #3f3f3f; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://stellarium-web.org/">Stellarium</a>). Achten Sie auch unbedingt auf freie Horizontsicht!<br>Viel Zeit bleibt nicht: kurz nach 18 Uhr sinkt die Mondsichel unter den Horizont.<br><br>Gleich drei interessante Phänomene lassen sich im Erfolgsfall (oder sonst nachsinnend vorm Kamin) hieran bemerken: <br>1. Eine so schmale, junge Mondsichel ist überhaupt nur zu Jahresanfang abends zu sehen, da die Ekliptik, also die scheinbare Himmelsbahn von Sonne, Mond und Planeten, dann besonders steil vom abendlichen Horizont aufragt. <br>2. Eben durch diesen Neigungswinkel der Ekliptik scheint die Mondsichel dann manchmal wie ein kleines Schiffchen fast waagerecht über dem Horizont zu liegen.<br>3. Wie auch hier in der Grafik andeutungsweise erkennbar, sieht man paradoxerweise, obwohl nur 3% beleuchtet sind, trotzdem den ganzen Mond, wie "voll", nur schwächer: das sog.
