Juli, 19 Uhr,</span> Eintritt frei. </strong></p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Bereits vorab wurde in der letzten Nacht eine erste sog. Deep-Field-Aufnahme eines Galaxienhaufens im südlichen Sternbild Fliegender Fisch veröffentlicht, die zeigt, welches Potenzial in dem neuen Weltraumteleskop steckt, das von vielen daher oft einfach "Just Wonderful Space Telescope" genannt wird. Erkennbar sind zahllose kleine, stark rotverschobene Galaxien, die im Schwerefeld des 4,6 Milliarden Lichtjahre entfernten Galaxienhaufens (hell im Bildzentrum) durch den von Einstein erstmals postulierten Gravitationslinseneffekt verbogen erscheinen. Das Foto entstand in nur 12,5 Stunden Belichtung mit der im nahen Infraroten (500-6000 nm) arbeitenden Kamera NIRCam und zeigt eine weitaus höhere Detailschärfe, als Hubble es je vermochte. Im Unterschied zu Hubble beobachtet das JWST praktisch nur im Infraroten, da das Licht der am weitesten entfernten Galaxien durch die kosmologische Rotverschiebung so gedehnt ist, dass es im sichtbaren Bereich des Spektrums kaum mehr erkennbar ist. Die seinerzeit sensationellen Hubble Deep-Field-Aufnahmen von 1995, 2004 und 2012 hatten Belichtungszeiten von bis zu über drei Wochen und reichten bis zu 13,2 Mrd. Lichtjahre tief in Raum und Zeit zurück. JWST wird diesen Rekord nun wohl bald spielend überbieten und noch näher an den Urknall, der sich vor 13,8 Mrd. Jahren ereignet haben soll, heranblicken.</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Die Pressekonferenz von ESA / NASA heute Nachmittag startet</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;"><strong>Dienstag, 12. Ende Januar hatte es seinen Orbit erreicht, und seitdem werden die optischen Instrumente für die mehrjährige Mission eingerichtet. Erwartet wird nicht weniger als eine wissenschaftliche Revolution.</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Die ersten Bilder zeigen Objekte, die wir von Fotos seines Vorgängers Hubble schon kennen und deren Brillanz von Webb noch übertroffen wird. Juli</strong>, fliegt Sommer-Komet <a style="color: #3f3f3f; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://www.waa.at/hotspots/kometen/c2017k2/">C/2017 K2 (PanSTARRS)</a> im Sternbild <a style="color: #3f3f3f; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schlangentr%C3%A4ger">Schlangenträger</a> am <a style="color: #3f3f3f; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messier_10">Kugelsternhaufen M10</a> (M steht für den Messier-Katalog, Eintrag Nr. 10) vorbei, was erstens eine besonders schöne Aufsuchhilfe darstellt und zweitens schöne Bilder oder Anblicke ermöglichen könnte - wenn, ja wenn der Mond nicht wär'... Der geht nämlich just gegen 23 Uhr im Südosten auf, während Schlangenträger, Komet und Kugelsternhaufen gerade ihren höchsten Stand im Süden (die Kulmination) durchlaufen. <br>Es gilt, den optimalen Moment zwischen Dunkelwerden (die nautische Dämmerung am 15. ist erst um 22:42 Uhr MESZ) und Mondaufgang zu erwischen - und dazu notfalls auch noch die passenden Wolkenlücken!<br>Die Helligkeit des Kometenkopfes (Koma) nähert sich der 8. Größenklasse, was an sich selbst für kleine Taschenferngläser schon erreichbar wäre - nur ist sie leider diffus und bietet daher viel weniger Kontrast, weshalb möglichst dunkler Himmel nötig ist. <br>Der Kugelsternhaufen ist aber insofern nochmal eine besonders gut geeignete Station zur Annäherung an den Kometen, da der Messier-Katalog überhaupt nur so zustande kam, dass <a style="color: #3f3f3f; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Messier">Charles Messier</a> (1730-1817) dort genau solche Objekte sammelte, die ihn bei seiner Kometensuche ablenkten, da sie selbst mehr oder weniger diffus wie Kometenköpfe ausschauten.</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;"><strong><em>Viel Spaß auf den Spuren Messiers!<br><br></em></strong>Sollte Ihnen eine Beobachtung oder gar eine Zeichnung / ein Bild des Vorbeiflugs gelingen, freuen wir uns über Einsendungen an <a style="color: #3f3f3f; text-decoration: underline;" href="mailto:info@sternwarte-muenchen.de">info@sternwarte-muenchen.de</a><br><br></p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; text-align: justify;">Hinweis: Die Abendführung für den 15.7. ist bereits ausgebucht; ebenso die "Moonlight Serenade Party" an dem Abend.
