Mal die bislang letzte Mondlandung (Apollo 17).</h4> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Aber gab es die überhaupt? Waren je Menschen auf dem Mond? Zweifel halten sich bis heute. Eine gute Gelegenheit für Martin Elsässer, in seinem Vortrag <strong>am 11.11. </strong>der<strong> Apollo 11-Mission</strong> (und der weiteren Mondlande-Missionen) unter dem Aspekt nachzuspüren: <br><a style="color: #3f3f3f; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://sternwarte-muenchen.de/event-vsw/mondluege-2022/"><strong>"Hat es die Mondlandung wirklich gegeben?"</strong></a></p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Dramatisch verlief bekanntlich die ominöse <strong>Apollo-13-Mission</strong>, der sich Jana Steuer in der <a style="color: #3f3f3f; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://sternwarte-muenchen.de/aktuelles/podcast-translunar/"><strong>Podcast-Folge 13</strong> von <em><strong>translunar:</strong></em></a>, die spätestens <strong>am 13.11.</strong> erscheint, widmen wird - wie auch allen möglichen anderen "13ern" in der Astronomie.</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Am <strong>14. November</strong> öffnet sich dann übrigens das nächste Startfenster für die <strong>Artemis-Mission</strong>. Freilich gab es hier bislang mehr Aufschub als Schub. Es bleibt also abzuwarten, wie es diesmal verläuft. Wir halten das im Auge und Sie auf dem Laufenden!</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;"><strong>Am 5. und am 8. Dezember</strong> wird der Mond sich selbst in den Vordergrund spielen, indem er zunächst den etwas blässlich-fernen <strong>Uranus</strong> bedeckt (5.12.) und dann aber den stolzen <strong>Mars</strong> am Tag seiner Opposition "überfährt" (8.12.). Die Volkssternwarte plant zu beiden Events kleine Sonderveranstaltungen. Die beste Sichtbarkeit beginnt!</span></h4> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-decoration-line: inherit;">Neben Jupiter wächst derzeit Mars zu beachtlicher Helligkeit heran und überstrahlt längst alle Sterne des Himmels, ab nächster Woche sogar den Sirius. Auffällig ist seine rote Farbe, die sich gut mit den roten Riesensternen der Nachbarschaft, Aldebaran (im Stier) und Beteigeuze (im Orion) vergleichen lässt. <br>Wer gelernt hat, dass Planeten, auch Wandelsterne genannt, sich von den Fixsternen durch ihre Bewegung unterscheiden und auch daran erkennbar sind, mag bei Mars im Oktober ins Stocken geraten sein: denn er bewegte sich nicht mehr. Oder kaum mehr. Wie von den Stierhörnern aufgespießt hängt er fest am Himmel. Tatsächlich ist Mars zu einem (scheinbaren) Stillstand gelangt. <br>Am 30.10. hat er dann seine Bewegung sogar umgekehrt und läuft nun zurück, westwärts, wieder in Richtung auf das "Goldene Tor der Ekliptik" zu, wo er Ende August schon einmal war. Als wäre ihm noch etwas eingefallen und als hätte er dort etwas vergessen... Rückläufigkeit nennt die Astronomie diese Bewegung, zu der die äußeren Planeten um die Zeit ihrer Oppositionsstellung ansetzen. Vielleicht hat Mars auch einfach nur gemerkt, dass es viel fotogener wirkt, wenn er bei seiner Opposition am 8. Dezember mit Plejaden und Hyaden und dem roten Aldebaran im Bildhintergrund posiert. Stimmt ja auch. Es wird ein sehr schöner Anblick werden!<br>Schauen Sie jetzt also jeden klaren Abend zum Himmel. Schon ab 21 Uhr (dank Winterzeit!) sind Mars und Stier im Osten zu erkennen. Anfangs wirkt Mars noch zögerlich, heute steht er noch leicht östlich der Hörnerspitze, doch bald gewinnt er an Fahrt in Richtung Westen! <br></span><span style="text-decoration-line: inherit;">Bis der Kriegsgott zu Beginn des neuen Jahres zur Besinnung kommt, einhält, kehrtmacht, sich von der Erde entfernt (oder sie von ihm) und allmählich verblasst. Hoffen wir mal, dass der Himmel in diesem Punkt wahrspricht!<br>In Summe vollführt der Planet also eine Schleifenbewegung am Himmel, die den Menschen früherer Zeiten große Rätsel aufgegeben hat. </span><span style="text-decoration-line: inherit;">Bei keinem der anderen äußeren, zumal freiäugig sichtbaren Planeten lässt sich diese Oppositionsschleife so deutlich wahrnehmen. Erst Kepler hat - mit Entdeckung der Ellipsenförmigkeit der Planetenbahnen - das Rätsel gelöst. Passend zur Mars-Opposition am 8.12. gibt es am Freitag, dem 9.12. den <a style="color: #3f3f3f; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://sternwarte-muenchen.de/event-vsw/kepler221209/">Vortrag von Pierre Leich zu Keplers Durchbruch</a>, eine Geschichte, so spannend wie ein Krimi!</span></p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-decoration-line: inherit;">Bis in den März lässt sich dieses Himmelsschauspiel verfolgen; erst dann wird Mars sich aus den Stierfängen befreit haben und seiner Wege ziehen. </span></p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-decoration-line: inherit;">Übrigens: Diese Mars-Opposition (=beste Beobachtbarkeit, ab jetzt bis Anfang Januar) ist noch die günstigste bis 2033. 2031 wird annähernd so gut, aber erst 2033 wieder besser. Auf etwa ein Jahrzehnt also die letzte noch halbwegs gute Chance, Details der Marsoberfläche im Teleskop zu erkennen!</span></p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-decoration-line: inherit;">Die <a style="color: #3f3f3f; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://sternwarte-muenchen.de/regelmaessige-abendfuehrung/"><strong>"Münchner Sternstunden"</strong></a> sind für November bereits ausgebucht.
