Aus Anlass der Mars-Opposition am Vortag.</strong></em></p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Obwohl der große Perspektivenwechsel zu Beginn der Neuzeit mit dem Namen von Nicolaus Copernicus verbunden wird, hat erst Johannes Kepler das Fundament einer neuen Astronomie gelegt. Er erkennt die elliptischen Planetenbahnen und entwirft einen neuen Erklärungstypus für Himmelsbewegungen. Dabei findet er weitere Argumente für den Heliozentrismus, die auch denen Galileis weit überlegen sind. Mit seinen drei Planetengesetzen betritt Kepler Neuland und schlägt ein Kapitel auf, das direkt zu Isaac Newton führt, dem wir die neuzeitliche Vorstellung von Gravitation verdanken. Über Technik und industrielle Revolution steht die Forschung von Johannes Kepler in einer direkten Linie bis zu unserer heutigen Zivilisation und selbst der Entdeckung der dunklen Materie. Der Vortrag skizziert die Astronomie zur Zeit von Copernicus, führt die teleskopischen Beobachtungen vor Augen und stellt die Leistungen von Kepler in den größeren Zusammenhang. <td class="long-text links-color" style="font-weight: normal; color: #000000; font-size: 13px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: left; line-height: normal;" align="left" valign="top" width="100%"> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><strong>Eines der Jahres-Highlights 2022 morgen früh vermutlich hinter Wolken.</strong></p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px;"><strong>Marsbedeckung durch den Vollmond<br>genau zur Stunde der Mars-Opposition<br>Donnerstag, 08. Dezember 2022, von vor 6 bis nach 7 Uhr früh</strong></p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Am morgigen Donnerstagfrüh ist Vollmond. Zugleich steht Mars in Opposition. Das bedeutet, sie stehen in gleicher ekliptikaler Länge, nämlich 180° der Sonne gegenüber. Zwar ist die Ebene der Marsbahn um knapp 2° und die der Mondbahn um immerhin gut 5° gegenüber der Ekliptik (Erdbahn-Ebene) geneigt, so dass für beide Platz genug am Himmel auch über- oder untereinander wäre, wenn der Mond an Mars vorbeilaufen möchte. Doch wie der Zufall es will, stehen morgen beide Himmelskörper gleichzeitig knapp 2,5° (etwa 5 Vollmond-Durchmesser) nördlich der Ekliptik, so dass die (scheinbare) Kollision unausweichlich wird. </p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Wer das Schauspiel genüsslich heraufziehen sehen mag, stelle sich den Wecker schon um 5 Uhr (oder früher). Der Mond, der im Mittel gut 12° pro Tag am Himmel voranschreitet, legt in jeder Stunde seinen eigenen (scheinbaren) Durchmesser (ca. 0,5°) zurück - also langsamer als eine Schnecke, aber doch erkennbar, wenn man Sterne - oder morgen einen Planet - als Fixpunkt zum Vergleichen hat. Um 5 Uhr ist der Mond noch etwa einen Vollmonddurchmesser von Mars entfernt. </p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Wenige Minuten nach 6 Uhr ist es dann so weit. Mars verschwindet im Laufe von ca. 30 Sekunden langsam hinter der Mondscheibe. Knapp eine Stunde später taucht er auf der anderen Seite wieder auf, was wiederum eine halbe Minute in Anspruch nimmt. Ab kurz vor 7 Uhr sollten Sie wieder auf der Lauer liegen, um den Moment nicht zu verpassen.<br>Die beiden Kästchen in der Abbildung oben geben den Anblick bei Eintritt (oben) und Austritt (unten) wieder. Die genauen Zeiten hängen von Ihrem Standort ab und können um einige Minuten variieren.</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Wer ein Fernglas oder gar ein Teleskop besitzt, braucht sicher keine Aufforderung, diese auch zu benutzen. Beobachtungsberichte oder auch fotografische Versuche können gern an uns eingesandt werden (<a style="color: #3f3f3f; text-decoration: underline;" href="mailto:info@sternwarte-muenchen.de">info@sternwarte-muenchen.de</a>). Von der Handykamera bis zum Tele ist alles einen Versuch wert... wenn nur das Wetter mitspielen würde. </p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Den Uranus hat es am Montag (5.12.) bereits doppelt erwischt: Die Bedeckung durch den Mond wurde ihrerseits durch dichten Hochnebel und Wolken bedeckt. Eine solche doppelte Bedeckung ist auch für Donnerstagfrüh zu befürchten. <br>Eine Entschuldigung, den Wecker <em>nicht</em> zumindest auf 5:45 Uhr zu stellen, ist das freilich nicht! <br>Achten Sie unbedingt auf freie Sicht nach Westnordwesten. Beim Eintritt stehen Mond und Mars noch knapp 20° hoch überm Horizont, beim Austritt nur noch 10°.</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Sofern es am Himmel nichts zu sehen gibt, kann man sich beim Morgenkaffee Gedanken über Distanzen und scheinbare Größen machen: Mars ist rund 200x weiter weg als der Mond. Das Marsscheibchen im Teleskop misst derzeit 17". Stünde der Mars in gleicher Entfernung zur Erde wie der Mond, wäre sein scheinbarer Durchmesser 200x größer, also 3400" bzw. knapp 1°. Das ist etwa doppelt so groß wie der Mond, und entspricht den wahren Durchmessern von rund 6.800 km (Mars) gegenüber knapp 3.500 km (Mond). Die obige Abbildung versucht diesen Eindruck der wahren Größenverhältnisse wiederzugeben. Der Mond könnte den Mars dann jedenfalls nur zu einem Viertel bedecken.</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Empfehlung zur Marsbeobachtung: <br>Nutzen Sie auf jeden Fall die geringe Oppositionsdistanz und versuchen Sie möglichst noch im Dezember, spätestens aber vor Mitte Januar, durch ein Teleskop einen Blick auf Mars zu werfen. Danach entfernt er sich rasant und verblasst auch zusehends wieder.
