als vielversprechenster Komet des
Jahres beschrieben:<strong> C/2022
E3 (ZTF)</strong>.</p>
<p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align:
justify;">Entdeckt wurde er erst vor
Kurzem: Am 2. März 2022 beobachteten
Astronomen ein etwa 4 AE (1 AE =
Entfernung Erde - Sonne) entferntes
Objekt im Sternbild Adler. Der
Nachweis eines <strong>Komas</strong>
(eine diffuse, neblige Hülle um den
Kern) bestätige kurz darauf, dass es
sich dabei tatsächlich um einen
Kometen, nicht um einen Asteroiden,
handelte. <br>
Er hat eine lange Reise hinter sich:
nach aktuellen Berechnungen
passierte C/2022 E3 (ZTF) im Jahr
2007 den Planeten Neptun und tauchte
auf einer steil gegen die Ekliptik
geneigten Bahn in das Planetensystem
ein. Seine Umlaufzeit um die Sonne
dürfte etwa<strong> 52 000 Jahre</strong>
betragen. <br>
Nun rast er also weiter auf die
Sonne und die inneren Planeten zu.
Am <strong>12. Januar erreicht er
sein Perihel</strong>, den
sonnenächsten Punkt seiner Bahn, und
wird nur 1,11 AE von unserem
Heimatstern getrennt sein. Je näher
er uns kommt, desto heller wird er
auch. <br>
Den
erdnächsten Punkt erreicht C/2022 E3
(ZTF) erst am<strong> 1. Februar</strong>,
dann ist er nämlich nur noch 0,28 AE
von unserem Planeten entfernt und
erreicht seine größte Helligkeit. Ob
er mit bloßem Auge zu sehen sein
wird, bleibt offen. Da Kometen recht
unvorhersehbar sein können,
schwanken die Angaben seiner größten
Helligkeit zwischen<strong> 5,1 und
7,35 mag</strong>.</p>
<p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align:
justify;">Wer um die Zeit der
größten Erdannäherung von C/2022 E3
(ZTF) im <strong>Sternbild Giraffe</strong>
mit einem Feldstecher Ausschau hält,
der sollte (bei gutem Wetter) solide
Chancen haben, den frostigen
Besucher zu erspähen, bevor er
wieder in die große Dunkelheit
verschwindet.</p>
<p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align:
justify;">Noch ist nicht klar, ob
C/2022 E3 (ZTF) unser System
verlassen wird oder auf einer Bahn
um die Sonne herum bleibt. Neue
Daten, die während der Annäherung
des Kometen aufgenommen werden
können, werden hoffentlich mehr
Gewissheit gewähren.</p>
<p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align:

an eine NS-geführte Regierung am 30.
Januar 1933 kam es bereits im April
zu gesetzlichen Maßnahmen, um
Angehörige des öffentlichen Dienstes
nicht nur aus politischen, sondern
auch aus “rassischen Gründen“, d.h.
mit einem jüdischen
Familienhintergrund (unabhängig von
einem eigenen religiösen Bekenntnis)
oder später auch mit einem solchen
Ehepartner entlassen zu können. Das
betraf den Wissenschaftsbetrieb an
den Universitäten und staatlichen
Forschungseinrichtungen zum Teil
erheblich. Nach einem Überblick über
diese Vorgänge wird das Schicksal
von Entlassung und Emigration einer
Reihe von betroffenen Astronomen
skizziert. Darunter finden sich
Angehörige aus bekannten Familien
mit Wissenschaftstradition wie
Günter Archenhold, Rudolph Minkowski
oder Martin Schwarzschild.“<br>

Nacht des <strong>10. Januars</strong>
trifft der abnehmende <strong>Mond</strong>
auf den hellsten Stern im Löwen: <strong>Regulus</strong>.</p>
<p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align:
justify;">Die beiden strahlen kurz
nebeneinander im Nachthimmel, am
besten zu sehen in der zweiten
Nachthälfte, wenn der Löwe vom Osten
her hoch an den Himmel steigt. Da
Regulus sehr nahe der<strong>
Ekliptik</strong> steht, an die
sich generell auch der Mond hält,
kann er sogar von unserem Trabanten
bedeckt werden. Dann verschwindet
Regulus vollständig für eine kurze
Zeit hinter dem blassen Mond und der
Löwe verliert so lange seinen
hellsten Stern. Das nächste Mal ist
es in über 2 Jahren so weit: im<strong>
Juli 2025</strong> verschluckt
unser Mond Regulus wieder. Dieses
Mal verschont er ihn also und zieht
nur stumm an ihm vorbei.</p>
<p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align:
justify;">Regulus ist auch bekannt
als das Herz des Löwen (Cor Leonis).
Sein lateinischer Name bedeutet so
viel wie "kleiner Prinz" oder
"kleiner König". Da er nur 79
Lichtjahre von der Sonne entfernt
ist, strahlt er an unserem
Nachthimmel besonders hell. Er
gehört zu den B-Sternen und ist
somit heißer als die Sonne. Befände
man sich im System des Regulus würde
man schnell feststellen, dass dieser
Stern ungefähr <strong>drei Mal so
groß und schwer ist wie die Sonne
und 150 Mal heller</strong>
leuchtet!</p>

justify;">Weihnachten 2021 wurde das
<strong>James Webb Space Telescope</strong>
(JWST) mit ARIANE 5 erfolgreich in
den Orbit gebracht. Das Teleskop
wurde 1,5 Millionen km von der Erde
entfernt gebracht. Anschließend
starte ein komplexes Programm um das
Teleskop in Betrieb nehmen zu
können. Seit Juni 2022 empfangen wir
unglaubliche und detailreiche
Aufnahmen von <strong>Planeten,
Gaswolken und Exoplaneten</strong>.
Die Geschichte des JWST wollen wir
hier nachvollziehen.</p>
