März 2023, 20 Uhr</strong><br><br><span style="color: #f01313;">+++ nur noch wenige Plätze verfügbar +++</span></p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">In der letzten Woche führte im <a style="color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://sternwarte-muenchen.de/programmrueckblick/">ersten Teil der Reihe "Energie der Sterne"</a> unser Mitglied Dr. Armin Manhard vom Max-Planck-Institut für Plasmaphysik in Garching vor, wie ein Stern, wie z.B. unsere Sonne, im Normalbetrieb leuchtet und wie sich diese Fusionsenergie hoffentlich bald auch auf der Erde wird nutzen lassen. </p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Im zweiten Teil wird es dramatisch: Was geschieht, wenn der Brennstoff eines massereichen Sterns auf immer schnelleren Zeitskalen versiegt? Supernovae gehören zu den gewaltigsten und energiereichsten Ereignissen im Universum. Sterbende Sonnen überstrahlen zum Teil ihre Heimatgalaxie und sind über Hunderte von Millionen Lichtjahren hinweg selbst mit Amateurteleskopen sichtbar. </p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Professor Janka hat die genauen Mechanismen der Sternexplosionen erforscht und ist dabei einer geradezu unglaublichen Laune der Natur auf die Spur gekommen: Ausgerechnet die kleinsten, schwächsten und fast masselosen "Geisterteilchen", die Neutrinos, sind es, die die kosmischen Supernova-Superlative triggern.</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Geisterteilchen heißen sie, weil sie mühelos alles durchdringen, billionenfach den menschlichen Körper, uns alle, in jeder Sekunde durchströmen - ohne jede Auswirkung. Während man, um auch nur ein reaktionsträges Neutrino einigermaßen erfolgreich abzuschirmen, lichtjahrdicke Bleiplatten bräuchte, sind die Bedingungen im Kern sterbender Sterne so extrem, dass sich das Kleinste zum Größten verwandelt. Für die Darstellung der ungewöhnlichen Reise eines Teams von Astronauten zu einem fremden Planeten mussten neue Techniken entwickelt werden. Modernste Trickverfahren wurden verwendet, um das Raumschiff und die im Weltraum spielenden Szenen zu gestalten. Für die Bilder des Planeten wurden winzige Kristalle von dem Fotografen Manfred P.
