April 2023, 20 Uhr:</span></p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px;"><strong>Vortrag von Prof. Dr. Thomas Lauterbach</strong> <em>(Astronomische Gesellschaft in der Metropolregion Nürnberg e.V. – Fachgruppe Radioastronomie)<br></em></p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px;"><a style="color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://sternwarte-muenchen.de/event-vsw/apr230421/https://sternwarte-muenchen.de/event-vsw/apr230421/"><strong>Das Arno-Penzias-Radioteleskop der Regiomontanus-Sternwarte Nürnberg</strong></a></p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">1964 entdeckte <a style="color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arno_Penzias">Arno Penzias</a>, zusammen mit Robert Wilson, mittels der <a style="color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://sternwarte-muenchen.de/save_holmdel_horn/">Holmdel-Horn-Radioantenne</a>, die aussieht wie ein riesiges Hörrohr, die kosmische Hintergrundstrahlung - populär auch als "Echo des Urknalls" bekannt - und lieferte damit einen ersten empirischen Beweis für die Richtigkeit der Urknall-Theorie. Dafür erhielten Penzias und Wilson 1978 den Physik-Nobelpreis.<br>Zu Ehren des gebürtigen Münchners Arno Penzias, der also mit als erster Mensch den "Nachhall" von der Entstehung des Universums vernahm, wurde <a style="color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://www.nordbayern.de/region/nuernberg/nurnberg-hort-jetzt-ins-all-neues-radioteleskop-eingeweiht-1.8851934">an dessen 86. Geburtstag, dem 26. April 2019, das ihm zu Ehren benannte Arno-Penzias-Radioteleskop an der Nürnberger Regiomontanus-Sternwarte eingeweiht</a>, das im Vortrag vorgestellt wird. <br>Anlass ist wiederum Penzias' 90. Geburtstag am 26.4.<br><br>Darüber hinaus gibt Prof. Lauterbach eine allgemeinverständliche Einführung in Wesen und Funktionsweise der Radioastronomie - und dass diese gar nicht unbedingt etwas zum Hören ist, sondern nur eine andere Form des Lichts. </p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Als Höhepunkt des Vortrags wird aus dem Vortragssaal der Volkssternwarte München heraus das Nürnberger Arno-Penzias-Radioteleskop ferngesteuert in Betrieb genommen und die Milchstraße anvisiert, ganz unabhängig von Wetter und Tageszeit - der große Vorteil der Radioastronomie! Am 23.4. passiert der Mond Venus, am 25.4. den Mars. Sehr schön wird damit der Verlauf der <a style="color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ekliptik">Ekliptik</a> am Himmel nachgezeichnet.<br>Außerdem ist derzeit letztmalig das komplette <a style="color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wintersechseck">Wintersechseck</a> am Abend zu sehen. Untrügliches Zeichen, dass der Winter endgültig vorbei ist.</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Verpassen Sie auch nicht das Melodram von Liebe & Krieg, das sich in den kommenden Wochen weiter am Abendhimmel abspielt: Venus als strahlend helle Göttin der Liebe nimmt energisch die Verfolgung des immer blasser werdenden roten Mars auf, passiert bald die Stierhörner und wechselt ebenfalls in die Zwillinge, doch der Kriegsgott flieht! Wie wird das Rennen ausgehen? Bleiben Sie dran - es verspricht zum Frühsommer ein spannendes Finish zu werden!</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Wenn von Ostern her noch Wünsche übrig geblieben sein sollten, ist ebenfalls genau jetzt der richtige Zeitpunkt, den Blick zum Himmel zu erheben: Der Sommer schickt seine Vorboten, die Lyriden, einen Sternschnuppenschwarm mit scheinbarem Ausgangspunkt im Sternbild Leier (genau genommen knapp daneben im Herkules), von denen am Wochenende in den frühen Morgenstunden mit Glück ein bis zwei Dutzend pro Stunde über den Himmel jagen. Das Maximum ist am frühen Sonntagmorgen, 23.4. gegen 3 Uhr MESZ. Aber auch in den Nächten davor und danach zeigen sich einzelne Schnuppen, die zum Teil sehr langgezogene Bahnen über den Himmel zeichnen und immer wieder auch einzelne sehr helle Exemplare zu bieten haben. Glücklicherweise stört der noch junge Mond nicht. Suchen Sie sich ein dunkles Feld mit freier Sicht und schauen Sie möglichst hoch in Richtung Zenit.
