<td class="long-text links-color" style="font-weight: normal; color: #3f3f3f; font-size: 13px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: left; line-height: normal;" align="left" valign="top" width="100%"> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: justify;">Am <strong>heutigen Freitagabend um 19:34 Uhr</strong> (MESZ) ist <strong>Vollmond</strong> - und eine Halbschattenfinsternis. Der <strong>"Wonnemond"</strong> (wie eine der <a style="color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://www.timeanddate.de/astronomie/mond/mondnamen-monatsnamen#mondnamen">traditionellen Bezeichnungen</a> für den Mai-Vollmond lautet) geht über München allerdings erst eine Stunde später auf, wenn die ohnehin nur "halbscharig" zu nennende Finsternis sich schon ihrem Ende zuneigt, sodass davon hierzulande wirklich rein gar nichts zu erkennen sein wird. Daher keine große Ankündigung, keine Sonderveranstaltung, nichts: Nur ein wunderschöner voller Maienmond, dessen Aufgang zu bewundern ab kurz nach halb neun Uhr sich in jedem Fall lohnt.</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Bei einer <a style="color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://www.timeanddate.de/finsternis/mond-halbschattenfinsternis">Halbschattenfinsternis</a> ist vom Mond aus gesehen die Sonne durch die Erde nur partiell verfinstert, nicht total (dann wäre der Mond ganz oder teilweise im Kernschatten der Erde). Daher gelangt immer noch so viel Sonnenlicht in den Halbschatten, dass visuell kaum ein Effekt bemerkbar ist und Halbschattenfinsternisse üblicherweise geflissentlich übergangen werden. Die heutige Finsternis ist dennoch bemerkenswert, da der Mond fast vollständig (zu 95%) in den Halbschatten eintaucht. In östlicheren Längenbereichen, wo der Mond dann schon höher am Himmel steht (Asien), könnte tatsächlich eine leichte Dämpfung des Lichts auf der dem Kernschatten näherliegenden Hälfte auffallen.</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Diese <strong>"Halbscharigfinsternis"</strong> ist dennoch nicht umsonst: Erinnert sie uns doch gleich an zwei Dinge - zum einen an den schönen Kurzbericht unseres Mitglieds Paul Salazar von der ultrakurzen totalen <strong>Sonnenfinsternis in Australien</strong> beim letzten Neumond, am 20. April, s. hier weiter unten im nächsten Abschnitt. <br>Zum anderen daran, dass in einem halben Jahr (bzw. einem "Semester") der gegenüberliegende Mondknoten dran ist und für eine "richtige", wenn auch kleine, <a style="color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://www.timeanddate.de/finsternis/mond/2023-oktober-28"><strong>partielle Mondfinsternis am 28. Oktober 2023</strong></a> sorgen wird, was Sie sich unbedingt jetzt schon im Kalender notieren sollten: An jenem Samstagabend ist nämlich wieder <a style="color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://astronomietag.de/"><strong>bundesweiter "Astronomietag"</strong></a>, wo natürlich auch die Volkssternwarte ihre Türen weit öffnet!</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Der Vollmond heute steht im Sternbild Waage, und der kleine Stern, der direkt über dem Vollmond steht, ist Zubenelgenubi, die "südliche Schere" - nämlich des Skorpions, zu dem diese Sterne früher einmal gehörten und dessen Aufgang die später erst neu geschaffene Waage ankündigt und damit die Zeit der Sommersternbilder. Selbst dort war sie nur in einem winzigen nordwestlich gelegenen Zipfel von Western Australia, von der <a style="color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://goo.gl/maps/zS1MQQXpRjNDhXoMA">Halbinsel von Exmouth</a> aus, sichtbar.</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Hier Pauls Bericht vom 20. Protuberanzen so wie bei diesem Mal hatte ich noch nie gesehen, mit einer sehr lang ausgestreckten Protuberanz und einer, die in einem wunderschönen Bogen verlief und dann abriss. Der Himmel war kristallklar und die Zuschauer hier in Exmouth waren von dem Ganzen ziemlich aus dem Häuschen.</em></p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;"><em>Es war eine hybride Finsternis, d.h. für uns in Australien dauerte sie nur eine Minute. Mit der Stringtheorie bestünde unsere Realität nicht aus Teilchen, sondern aus winzigen, schwingenden Objekten.
