Mai)<br>Vortragsreihe von Mai bis Juli an der Volkssternwarte</h4> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Dass die Erde auch nur ein Planet ist unter anderen – unter vielen anderen, wie wir heute dank der Exoplanetenforschung wissen – ist wohl die zentrale gedankliche Leistung an der Epochenwende zur Neuzeit, die trotz antiker Vorläufer für uns mit dem Namen von Copernicus verbunden bleibt. <em>De revolutionibus</em> ("von den Umläufen") aus dem Jahr 1543, dem Todesjahr von Copernicus, darf als Geburtsurkunde planetarischen Bewusstseins gelten: <em>Raumschiff Erde, Pale Blue Dot – </em>doch selbst ein halbes Jahrtausend später scheint die Menschheit Mühe zu haben, diesen freien Flug oder Fall des einst so fest geglaubten Bodens wirklich zu begreifen. Für unseren naiven Alltagsverstand geht weiterhin die Sonne auf und unter und die Erde um uns herum wirkt größtenteils ziemlich flach und wie eine selbstverständliche Gegebenheit. Der Himmel dreht sich über uns, und oben ist oben und unten unten. - Vom Kopf her wissen wir freilich, dass wir es sind, die permanent "revolutionieren": um die eigene Achse, um die Sonne, um das Zentrum der Milchstraße. Sich das aber wirklich lebhaft vorzustellen, bleibt ein schwindelerregendes Unterfangen. Aufgabe einer Volkssternwarte ist auch dies, diese so einfachen und doch irgendwie unbegreiflichen Tatsachen immer wieder bewusst und erlebbar zu machen.</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Aktuell sind Venus und Mars am Abendhimmel zu sehen (s. Beobachtungshinweis unten) – unsere beiden Schwester-Raumschiffe auf der Reise um die Sonne. Beide gerade noch am Rand der habitablen Zone und gleichwohl von allem Leben verwaist. Wie außergewöhnlich unser blauer Planet auch 500 Jahre nach Copernicus noch immer ist inmitten der "unendlichen Weiten des Weltraums", das erfahren wir am besten, indem wir uns mit diesen <em>fremden Welten von nebenan</em>, befassen. Mai</strong> herum) ist <strong>Mars der "dritte Zwilling"</strong>, der sich - auch helligkeitsmäßig - <strong>neben Castor und Pollux</strong> vor der ihn verfolgenden Venus tarnen will. <strong>Anfang Mai</strong> lagen noch <strong>26 Winkelgrad</strong> zwischen den beiden Nachbarplaneten, <strong>Ende Mai</strong> hat Venus bis auf <strong>11 Grad</strong> aufgeholt. Natürlich trügt die Nähe, denn unverändert bleibt Venus auf der Innen- und Mars auf der Außenbahn von der Erde aus gesehen und es liegen in Wirklichkeit Hunderte von Millionen Kilometern zwischen den beiden. Nur perspektivisch liefern sie sich eine Aufholjagd. </p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Wer die Spannung nicht mehr aushält, kann sich auch jetzt schon (und selbst bei Wolkenhimmel) die Rallye nochmal von Anfang an und bis zum Ende ansehen mit einem kostenlosen <strong>Planetariumsprogramm</strong> wie z.B. <strong><a style="color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://stellarium-web.org/">Stellarium</a></strong>, mit dem auch die Grafik oben erstellt wurde.</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Wenn man für den Himmelsanblick <strong>am 03. Juni</strong> näher hereinzoomt, sieht man, dass <strong>Mars</strong> durch den offenen Sternhaufen der <strong>"Krippe" (Praesaepe, Messier 44)</strong> im Sternbild Krebs wandert – nur wenige Tage vor Venus, die dann bereits die Zwillingssterne hinter sich lässt.</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; text-align: justify;">Natürlich lohnt es umso mehr, mit einem richtigen Fernglas oder Teleskop "hineinzuzoomen", auch um etwa zu bemerken, dass <strong>Venus</strong> um den <strong>4. Juni</strong> herum in <strong>Dichotomie</strong> steht, d.h. sich als "Halb-Venus" präsentiert – eine Tatsache, die nebenbei auch sehr für das kopernikanische (oder zumindest tychonische) Weltbild spricht.<br><br>Wir finden das spannender als jeden Vorabend-Krimi.
