Oktober 2023, 18 - 1 Uhr</strong><br>Ort: Volkssternwarte München, <a style="color: #3f3f3f; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://sternwarte-muenchen.de/baustellen-infos-2023/">Rosenheimer Str. 145h</a></p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px;"><em><strong>Eintritt frei - Anmeldung erforderlich!</strong></em></p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Seit 20 Jahren wird von der <a style="color: #3f3f3f; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://sternfreunde.de/">Vereinigung der Sternfreunde e.V.</a> (VdS) jährlich im deutschsprachigen Raum ein überregionaler <a style="color: #3f3f3f; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://astronomietag.de/">Astronomietag</a> organisiert, an dem zahlreiche Planetarien und Sternwarten ihre Pforten und Kuppeln für alle neugierigen Sterngucker/innen und solche, die es noch werden wollen, öffnen. An der <strong>Volkssternwarte München e.V.</strong> traditionell als <em><strong>Tag der offenen Tür</strong></em> sogar mit freiem Eintritt. <br>Nur eine Anmeldung ist vorab erforderlich wegen der begrenzten räumlichen Kapazitäten und damit alle einen guten Platz im Planetarium und vor den Teleskopen bekommen. </p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Im Mittelpunkt des Abends steht eine <a style="color: #3f3f3f; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://www.timeanddate.de/finsternis/in/deutschland/muenchen?iso=20231028"><strong>partielle Mondfinsternis</strong></a> - s. dazu unten mehr!</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Die Veranstaltung findet bei jedem Wetter statt. Bei klarem Himmel bilden natürlich die Live-Beobachtungen an den Teleskopen einen Höhepunkt des Besuchs. <td class="long-text links-color" style="font-weight: normal; color: #3f3f3f; font-size: 13px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: left; line-height: normal;" align="left" valign="top" width="100%"> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: justify;"><strong>Am kommenden Samstagabend, 28.10.2023</strong>, taucht der Mond sozusagen nur mit den Zehenspitzen in den Kernschatten der Erde ein. In Europa, großen Teilen Asiens und Afrikas ist eine partielle, d.h. teilweise Verfinsterung des Vollmondes zu beobachten (aufgrund der Bevölkerungsverteilung auf den Kontinenten kommen jedoch immerhin knapp 7 Mrd. Menschen potenziell, sofern das Wetter günstig ist, in den Genuss dieses Schauspiels). Zwar ist sie nicht besonders spektakulär, da nur 6% der Mondscheibe verdunkelt werden - der Mond wirkt bloß ein wenig "angeknabbert". Dafür findet sie dankenswerterweise bei uns zur so ziemlich besten Sendezeit statt: an einem Samstagabend zwischen halb zehn und elf Uhr.</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Obendrein ist just - Zufall oder gute Planung? - an dem Tag auch bundesweiter <strong>Astronomietag</strong> und an der <strong>Volkssternwarte München</strong> zugleich <em><strong>Tag der offenen Tür</strong></em> mit freiem Eintritt (Anmeldung erforderlich). Zur Stunde gibt es noch (wenige) freie Plätze auch zu den Einlasszeiten 21 und 22 Uhr, die zur Beobachtung der Mondfinsternis besonders günstig sind. </p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Sie können die Mondfinsternis indes von überall, auch ohne Teleskop und Sternwarte, beobachten, klaren Himmel vorausgesetzt. Ein kleines haushaltsübliches Taschenfernglas ist natürlich hilfreich, zumal es nur einen sehr kleinen Schattenbereich auf dem hellen Mond zu sehen gibt, nötig sind optische Hilfen jedoch nicht unbedingt. Auch sind, anders als bei Sonnenfinsternissen, keine Vorsichtsmaßnahmen zu beachten. <br>Versuchen Sie z.B. - als kleine sportliche Herausforderung -, den Anfang und das Ende der Kernschattenphase beobachtend zu "erwischen", egal von wo und wie Sie schauen. (Die Halbschattenphase vor- und nachher sind praktisch unbeobachtbar und daher nicht von Belang.)</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">-> Informationen zu den genauen <strong>Zeiten der Mondfinsternis</strong> finden Sie <strong><a style="color: #3f3f3f; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://sternwarte-muenchen.de/event-vsw/astronomietag-2023/#mofi-atag-23">hier</a></strong>. <br>Sollte das Wetter nicht mitspielen, bieten möglicherweise einige Sternwarten Livestreams an, die sich über eine Internetsuche leicht finden lassen.</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; text-align: justify;">Laut Statistik ist das Wetter am 28.10. bei München zwar mit über 80%iger Wahrscheinlichkeit schlecht, d.h. bedeckt oder gar regnerisch. Aktuell geben einige Wettermodelle jedoch Anlass zur Hoffnung, dass im Voralpenraum die Wolkendecke zeitweise aufreißen und immer wieder mal den Mond in Wolkenlücken freigeben könnte - insofern lohnt sich "Mut zur Lücke"!</p> <p style="margin: 1em 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; text-align: justify;">Ist die Finsternis auch nur klein, lohnt sich der Anblick doch auch deshalb ganz besonders, da die partielle Finsternis im September 2024 nur noch gut 3% umfasst, also noch mickriger ausfällt, und das an einem Mittwochmorgen zwischen vier und fünf Uhr! Erst im September 2025 gibt es wieder eine "anständige" abendliche totale Mondfinsternis.<br><br></p> </td>

Penzias konnte als jüdisches Kind 1938 gerade noch mit einem Kindertransport nach England entkommen und wurde später zu einem der ersten Menschen, die das "Echo des Urknalls" zu hören bekamen. Mit Wilson erhielt er dafür 1978 den Nobelpreis. Wir ehren im Jahr 2023 den 90. Die kosmische Hintergrundstrahlung erlaubt einen Blick zurück auf den Bruchteil einer Sekunde nach dem Urknall. Wir werden erfahren wie kleinste Temperaturschwankungen in der kosmischen Hintergrundstrahlung auf mikroskopische Materieschwankungen im frühen Universum zurückzuführen sind. Die Temperaturschwankungen im 10,000stel-Grad-Bereich erlaubt es Kosmologen und Kosmologinnen ein genaues Verständnis über den Aufbau des Universums zu erhalten. Nichtdestotrotz steckt die Kosmologie noch voller Rätsel. Was ist der physikalische Ursprung dieser Materieschwankungen, wie wachsen sie zu Strukturen und Galaxien im heutigen Universum.
